VICENTE GANDÍA BOBAL NEGRO 2019 is a red wine produced by Vicente Gandía, classified as a premium varietal from the DO Utiel – Requena region. This wine has an alcohol content of 13.5% and is best served at temperatures between 16 and 18ºC. Crafted from carefully chosen Bobal grapes, sourced from high-altitude vineyards in Utiel Requena, the grapes were harvested in mid-October, with yields below 1 kg per vine.
The winemaking process included a cold pre-fermentation extraction phase at 3ºC for four days, followed by fermentation at 26ºC, with the grape pulp remaining in contact for an additional ten days. Half of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation and was aged in lightly toasted French oak barrels for one year. It boasts a rich appearance with a deep purple edge and thick, slow-forming legs. The nose reveals notes of broom, red berries, and English toffee, accompanied by a hint of smokiness. On the palate, the wine is bold and offers lingering sensations of oak.
